ACA certified instructors will provide advanced instruction, including rolling, playboating, stroke development and guided practice. We provide a boat, paddle, skirt, PFD and helmet. All equipment is provided and students wear a harness to prevent falls. Instruction is done one-on-one by Certified instructors. Skiing is taught using the Direct to Parallel system that takes advantage of modern shaped skis. No snowplow, wedge or stem maneuvers are taught so participants learns expert level parallel turns from the start. Levels taught include: beginners, returning moms and dads, remedial, and expert. Snowboarding is taught using a Direct to the Fall Line approach. Painful hard falls are prevented because of the harness and balance bar. Students are taught to ride both Regular and Goofy footed to increase their fun and safety. Skills taught include: balance, toe and heel side turns, 180's, 360's, jumping, side slipping, and toe/heel catch and recover to avoid falling. All skills taught can be used on snow to make transition to the slopes fun and easy. Skiing from 9AM to 3PM. Lessons begin at 9:30AM. Anyone from age 8 and up can participate. Call for more information if you have a child seven or under who wants to ski. This is not a drop-off activity; each child must have an adult with them either skiing or hanging out in the lodge. The six-week passes (approx $150) include the lift tickets and lessons. Those who buy season passes can purchase a four-pack of lesson passes (for kids only). Call or email for a registration form.
