Motor City Music for Minors

The ReBops Deliver Detroit

Reviewed February, 2004 by Betsy Matthews, Moonbeam2Earth Project

"Once Upon a mailtruck one fine Detroit day came a singing postperson who knew just what to say to each kid (and dog) on the mailroute..."

This is rollicking family entertainment centered around eleven of Motorcity's hottest hits! The central character is the singing Postwoman interacting with the kids she meets on her route and with warmth and wisdom guides them through the sometimes tricky challenges of relating to friends, teachers, pets and parents.

Familiar tunes from the 50's and 60's like "Please Mr. Postman" and "Stop! In Name of Love" cleverly address the problems surrounding friendship and compromise through fun rock and roll. This is creative musical doowop performed by outstanding musicians and adult vocalists, and four talented kid vocalists who sing with gusto. You can boogie oogie and sing along while taking a car ride, doing dishes or dancing around the living room! Well suited for most children 9 and under, and for parents who still shake, rattle and roll.
