Wkids Sugar and Spice Mix

Makes 6 Tbsp
Prep Time: 5 min

5 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/3 to 1/2 cup, tall, narrow, clear jar.
1. Layer ingredients in tall, narrow clear jar, contrasting light with dark

2. Seal with lid. To use, shake jar or stir spices until blended.

3. Sprinkle on buttered toast, fruit or pudding. Sprinkle on muffin batter just before baking.

Optional: substitute 1/2 tsp ground allspice for either ground coriander or ground cardamom.

Hot Cocoa Mix

Serves 7
Prep Time: 10 min

1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup chocolate chip morsels
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows

1. Combine all ingredients: store in airtight container.

To make one cup hot cocoa: combine 1/3 cup mix with 2/3 cup boiling water*.

* Attach a handwritten tag with the directions for making a cup of cocoa to the mix pack.

Each serving (1/3 cup mix) contains 220 calories, 40g carbohydrate (0g fiber), 2g protein, 6g fat (5g saturated fat), 0mg cholesterol and 85mg sodium.

Wkids Toffee Coffee Mix

Makes 3 cups dry mix
Prep Time: 5 min

2/3 cup instant coffee
1 cup non-dairy creamer
1 cup brown sugar, packed, sieve if lumpy

1. Combine all ingredients well in large bowl. Place in air-tight jars.

2. Prepare by placing 2-3 tsp of mix in mug; add boiling water.*

*Attach a handwritten tag to the mix pack with the directions for making a cup of the toffee coffee.

Wkids Turkey Noodle Soup Mix

Makes 1 cup dry mix
Prep Time: 5 min

1 cup uncooked fine egg noodles
2 Tbsp chicken-flavored bouillon
½ tsp ground black pepper
¼ tsp dried whole thyme
1/8 tsp celery seeds
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 bay leaf

1. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl. Store in 8-oz jar or zip close-type storage bag.

2. Attach Turkey Noodle Soup recipe to jar.
